New Guller Gift Encourages Candidate Scholarship

The Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation, thanks to the generosity of Past Supreme Prior Sidney H. Guller, Washington U., '47, this year adds a new feature to its ongoing effort to encourage academic achievement. Sigma Alpha Mu candidates who achieve 3.75/4.0 grade point average (or equivalent) during the period of their pledgeship will receive a SAM Foundation check for $100, a certificate, and recognition in The OCTAGONIAN. Eligible are candidates in all SAM chapters.

The recipients must be fully matriculated students at their chapter's host institution who have become initiated fratres in good standing.

Fra Guller has been a key supporter of the SAM Foundation. In addition to the three Guller scholarships he has endowed, Sid and his wife Bobbi have endowed in their names the leadership fund that provides faculty for the annual undergraduate leadership conferences.
